What is the Leaving Cert Applied
Programme?
• Alternative, full time “2 Year Leaving Certificate
Programme”
• One of the three options offered by the Department
of Education.
• Available to students who wish to follow a more
practically based programme.
• Why “Applied”-designed to allow students to learn
practical skills and apply them.

3. Attendance—Crucial.
WRITTEN and PRACTICAL---68 credits.
AWARDS
• PASS---120-139 (60%-69%).
• MERIT---140-169 (70%-84%).
• DISTINCTION---170-200 (85%-100%).
