The Great Wall of China is a really
cool structure that was built
over 2,000 years ago. It was built
so the Chinese could stay away
from their enemies, the Huns.
The Great Wall was considered
one of the world’s wonders.
Many small walls were built by
multiple Chinese Emperors. Most
of the small walls do not exist
any more because they had been
rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty
between 1368 and 1644. This
was called the Ming Dynasty
Rebuilding. This made the wall
more elaborate because the
Dynasty added watch towers,
battlements, and cannons.
China’s first empire was
called Qin Shi Huandgi. Qin Shi
was very mean and punished
anyone who didn't follow strict
laws. This emperor believed
people were not born good and
needed to obey the strict laws.
Though Qin Shi Huandgi was
mean, he did many goods for
China. He ordered to build
better roads , canals, bridges,
etc. His most important and
famous project was building
The Great Wall of China witch
was later finished in the Ming
Dynasty.

China they kept silk cloth a
secret. They managed to keep
it a secret for 1,000 years! 2
monks managed to smuggle
silk worms. Silk was a famous

In china there was an army
called the terracotta army.
It looked like soldiers who
had turned to stone. People
found them underground
and they are still there.
People visit, but they have
to be very careful. Some of
them are 6 feet tall and
some are 5 feet. None of
the solders are the same,
some have horses they still
have weapons in their
hands. Some of them are
BROKEN!
The Spring Festival
is the most important
festival in China. It’s
also called Chinese
New Year. The
celebration lasts for
15 DAYS! It starts on
new year and ends
with the lantern
festival.
The last day of
the spring
festival there is
a festival called
the lantern
festival. This
festival was
invented in the
Han Dynasty.
Lanterns were
lit to honor
Buddha.
