THE WONDERS OF THE
CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
What Dose Your System Do For
Your Body/cells?
The Circulatory system is responsible for carrying oxygen and
nutrients to all of the organs and cells in your body.
How does Your System Work With
Other Body System?
Circulatory& Respiratory
The respiratory and
circulatory system work
together . The circulatory
system sends oxygenated blood
through the body and the
respiratory system removes co2
form your body so waste wont
stay in your body and get in your
blood and cells.
Circulatory & Digestive
When you eat it goes to your
intestine it absorbs the nutrients
from food. The nutrients go into
the blood stream so cells can use
is.
Major Organs/tissues and
Functions In The Circulatory
System
The heart is the 1st organ in the circulatory system. Its function is to
pump oxygenated blood though your body.
The arteries are the 2nd organ in the circulatory system. There
function is to pump oxygenated blood away from the heart to all the
others organs.
The capillaries are the 3rd organ in the circulatory system. There
function is to bring nutrients and oxygen to the tissue and to remove
waste.
The veins are the 4th organ in the circulatory system. There are to
take co2 and food waste to be deposed.
Stop working!!
If the circulatory system stopped working blood
with oxygen wouldn’t get to the organs and
eventually organs would die. So organs part of
the others systems would die.
Common Disease
Aortic Aneurysm is when a section of the aorta bulge stenches and
swells.
Arteriole sclerosis is when fatty deposit in the arteries.
Hypertension is when high blood pressure witch causes the heart to work
harder
Fun Facts
Your heart is really a strong muscle located a little to the left of your
body and its about the size of your fist.
The heart beats an average of 3 billion times an a human life.
About 8 million blood cells die each second and the same number
are born.
In a tiny droplet of blood there is some 5 million red blood cells
It takes about 20 second for one red blood cell to circle the hole body
