Create a connection to MVS System
Browse the DB2 Subsystem

1. With FM perspective opened, in Systems Information view add a System
2. Fill the host name and port number
3. Click Save and Connect, and it will attempt the conection. It will ask for host u
userid and password, that you fill over the Credentials
Browse DB2 Subsystem
Just expand the DB2 folder and the
Browse DB2 subsystems and the
DB2 SSIDs defined to FM-DB2 will
be listed.
You can expand any DB2 SSID and
you will be presented with two
default queries (filters):
Browse my database
Browse my tables
You can define your own queries
with the Add Query action

You fill the wizard for selecting the Database or table you would like.
In this case we want to list the EMP table for Owner RECHARR in
Database FMNDB2RE and SSID DB21
And this query will be populated in the Systems Information View
Edit Table
We choose the Formatted editor as example, and we don’t use a
template and we click the Edit pushbutton

The Formatted Mode
The Single Mode
Just type any value in
the fields to edit the
table. When saved it
will commit to DB2.
You can navigate with
the text entry field
titled navigation with:
TOP
BOTTOM
UP nn
DOWN nn
LOCATE
Having the same
meaning as FM-DB2
