Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
 A young woman is continuously terrified by the
thought that cars might careen onto the sidewalk and
run her over. She always walks as far from the street
pavement as possible and always wears red clothing
to be visible immediately to an out-of-control car.
 A mother is tormented by the concern that she might
inadvertently contaminate food as she cooks for her
family. Everyday she sterilizes all cooking utensils in
boiling water, scours every pot and pan before
placing food in it, and wears rubber gloves while
handling the food.
