The day of the dead is a day of
remembrance in Mexican
culture. They do not fear death,
they believe it to be a new
journey.
Food is placed on a table along with other
offerings to the dead. On the last official day
the food is eaten.
On the day of the dead people gather
around the streets to watch the
processions of marchers in costume
march down the street representing death.
Marigolds are
sold all over
Mexico during
the day of the
dead. Originally
the marigold
was a sacred
flower to the
Aztec people.
They were the
flowers of the
dead.
