Recuerdos
• Has two pianist playing
simultaneously to three
musical pieces (Chôro, Paseo
and Valse Venezolano).
• All three pieces shows the
combination of different
musical styles, predominately
Latin and American.
• The combination is supposed
to invoke emotion in the

• Shows an intertwining of two
things becoming one, or
working harmoniously.
Paseo

• It is the second piece in William Bolcom’s
Recuerdos (Reminiscences/ Memories)
• Explores the union of Latin and American music's
of the 19th century by evoking the style of the

• Gottschalk’s Creole (French/African) roots have a
distinctly Latin flavor.
