Part 2: Making Notes
You will study a number of set works and you will need to know about the composers in detail.

Choose one composer from each of the lists below (two in total) and research each in detail. Using
your notes create either a poster or leaflet on each which should includes important dates,
important musical events/training, types of works composed etc. and then list five of their most
important works. Listen to some of their works and include a personal comment about their music
in your final work.

Research the Beatles album ‘Revolver’. Choose one of the songs and write a review on it describing
how the elements of music are used.

Rehearse a piece for performance on your main instrument for an informal assessment during
lessons in September.
The two research tasks along with the exam style question will form the basis of your first lesson in
September.
