Dementia NE: A Demographic Profile
Between 2008- 2025
• 49% increase in people with late onset dementia
(national 51%)
• 5% increase in people with early onset dementia
(national 15%)
• 60% increase in no of people with dementia who
need care home places
• By 2025, 50% people with dementia will be >85
