Government Policies
• Includes: relevant government policies and
regulations
• Laws passed in parliament
• Policies that regulate, protect and promote
equity in the wider society and have the
greatest impact on a group.
• Policies which may legislate access or
prevent access to specific resources for this
group
Equity / Inequity
All of the 11 groups experience inequity in
many areas of their lives and this contributes to
their disadvantage and marginalization and
perpetuates the cycle for family members.
