Very great in area; huge.
The desert was a vast, hot land.
HABITATS
The place where a plant or an animal
naturally lives.
A rainforest is an example of the many habitats
on Earth.
VARIETY
A number of different things within the
same group or category.
A grocery store has a variety of food.
SPECIES
A group of animals or plants that are similar
and are able to mate and have offspring.
There are many species of dogs.
BANNED
To forbid by making illegal.
The use of cell phones is banned in school.
RADIATION
Energy that travels through space
as rays or waves.
The radiation from the sun can make ice cream melt
on a hot summer day.
