In 1972, Lions made
a commitment
to preserve
the environment.
Lions Green Team projects
help to fulfill
the Lions commitment
to planet earth.
Thirty-two percent of clubs participate in
community clean-up projects.
Recycling projects include eyeglasses,
paper, cell phones, and computers.
45,000 Lions clubs
can plant a tree.
Or 1.3 million Lions
can plant a tree.
Clubs can promote wind energy or host a
hybrid car show as an environmental
education project.

Lions Environmental Photo Contest.
The best club-level photo advances to the district.
The best district photo advances to the
multiple district competition.
International competition entries may appear
in the Lions Environmental Photo Contest Calendar.
