Orhei,Moldova
Orhei is the name of my city
Also,the city is filled with
old,historical buildings which have
a big importance for us even
nowdays.The passing of time has
left a mark on those buildings, but
they still have the same meaning
for us Orheians.
1)The Romano-Catholic Church (Architectural
Pearl) ,,Adormirea Maicii Domnului)
It was built in 1914(1915) and
restored in 2005.
2)Current Youth center
Once,the building in which is
the current youth center was
the city-hall.The outside of it
didn’t change which left a mark
in our city.
It still has that old style and the
vintage feeling to it which is a
great accent and memory to
our city.
3)Armicom.
Who would have thought
that before this factory once
there was a jail.It has a
pretty big and interesting
history behind it..But what’s
more interesting is how
much the time has changed
the looks of this place:
4.Pedagogical College”Vasile Lupu”
Before this place became a
college it was a simple
school for boys with the
director:Vasile Mahu.The
director and also some
other boys from there which
were big patriots made a big
mark in the history of our
town.

merchants. Picturesque Balkan air it will
be never lose.

The Red Square
Red Square is the main square in Moscow. It is
the center of the city, and if you look at
Moscow's plan, you will see that it is located in
the center of the radial layout of the city.
The place for the present Red Square was
identified during the reign of Ivan III (the end of
XV – beginning of XVI century), when the
Kremlin was rebuilt. So, Red Square is allocated
along the northeastern wall of the Kremlin.
THE BOLSHOY THEATRE
The Bolshoi Theatre is one of the largest in Russia and one of the most significant in
the world opera and ballet theaters. The theater is located at the Theater Square in
Moscow.
It was founded in March 1776 by prince Pyotr Vasilievich Urusov. However, the theatre
has survived several fires, and the modern building is a child of an architect Joseph
Bové.
Joseph Bové actually carried out the project of the winner of the contest for the design
of the new building of the Bolshoi Theatre – Andrei Mikhailov. However, this project
was recognized to be too costly. Bové also revised the design project, while improving
it significantly.
The new building is different from previous ones with its monumental grandeur,
commensurate proportions, and harmony of architectural forms, and richness of the
interior.
The Bolshoi Theatre is a compact rectangle in plan with an extended forward portico
with eight columns from the Theatre Square. The façade is decorated with a large
sculptural group – Apollo in a chariot with three horses – and is “looking” at the Theatre
Square. __
In the middle of the front part of the building, there is an entrance to the theatre with
grand staircases, the main foyer, a five-tiered audience hall and a stage. Side parts of
the building are divided into three floors and are reserved for other rooms of the
theatre; besides, there are located entrances to the top tiers.
The present theatre building has gable roof with frontons.
