Jews believe in a good deal of religious principles,
but the most powerful of which is that there is one God
who was the creator or the universe and continues to be
involved in the governance of the world. They also
believe that God made a covenant, or an agreement,
with the Jewish people. This covenant states that in order
to receive his blessings, they must obey God. God
revealed his laws to the Jews in the form of the Torah.
The purpose of Judaism is to study what is stated in the
this religious scripture.

government under the orders of Adolph Hitler.
•The Gestapo raided homes all over Europe searching for Jews. Once
found, Jews were put into prisoner of war camps.
•The people in the concentration camps were gassed, used for cheap
labor to support the German war effort, and were also used for
scientific experimentation.
•Post-holocaust, Jews today are still traumatized by the events that
took place during the Holocaust and World War 2. Families were
entirely wiped out and some were ruined.
