CHALLENGE: INEFFECTIVE JEWISH EDUCATION
FACT: Each year, a number of Day School students
lose interest in their Jewish Studies and ultimately
turn away from Torah and Judaism.
REASON: Lack of teacher training and effective
teaching resources.
4,800,000 HOURS… SPENT EVERY YEAR…
B”H
EFFECTIVE LESSONS: KEY TO STUDENT MOTIVATION.
Most Judaic subjects do not have prepared, high quality materials, methods and
step-by-step instructions, as do secular subjects.
JUDAIC TEACHERS CREATE THEIR OWN TEACHING MATERIALS.
Given at best a syllabus of what to cover in the classroom, most Judaic Teachers are
expected to develop, plan and create their own effective, exciting and relevant
lessons and materials.
THEY DON’T KNOW HOW.
While very knowledgeable about the subject they teach, most Judaic Teachers are
not adequately trained to develop and design effective lessons and materials, to help
transmit the information in a relevant, child-centered way.
THOUSANDS OF TEACHERS; ALL ALONE - ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Countless hours are spent in this solitary pursuit, by teachers all over the world - who
teach the very same subjects - creating and re-creating the same lessons and
materials each year. Much of the work is not worth keeping year to year.
B”H
A “live platform” where
teachers and expert
educators join “teams” to
collaborate online “live,
24/6,” creating effective and
meaningful study units.
Acclaimed educators
prepare resources, outlines
and structures for the study
units, and guide teacher
teams and TFT staff in
creating them.
Following the lessons in
class, teachers return to
discuss and modify the
online materials, based on
the joint feedback of their
classroom experience.
Teaching resources and
materials are hosted on the
TFT collaborative platform,
along with recorded
mentoring sessions,
teacher’s guides and notes.

FIRST GLOBAL ONLINE PLATFORM FOR LIVE COLLABORATION
• Tools for Torah is a “home” for teacher teams to “meet” and work together “live,
24/6” in a “Virtual Teacher’s Lounge.”
No other organization, secular or Judaic, provides this service.
• All mentoring sessions are recorded and posted for future teacher reference.
• Other educational sites operate more like a library, offering teachers bits and
pieces of materials and stand-alone lessons they can adapt to their classes.
• TFT helps teachers create complete units; Structured lessons along with the
necessary materials; all they need to teach the subject.
STRUCTURE + RELEVANCE = JEWS FOR LIFE
• TFT’s Torah lessons, based on the acclaimed UBD method, will help students
develop into educated, committed and passionate Jews. Each and every lesson
we build has the end-result in mind, and answers this question:
What vital values, beliefs, knowledge and skills create “Active Jews for Life?”
