Customer Profile
The pharmaceutical division of Solutia, a specialty chemical company
with more than $2 billion in annual sales and 6,000 employees,
automated its data collection process for clinical trials, resulting in
shorter and more efficient clinical trials
The Situation
Axio Research, a Solutia subsidiary, wanted to move away from paper
based clinical trials because they are difficult to manage, expensive, and
time-consuming
The Solution
Solutia developed a solution that uses InfoPath 2003 to collect clinical
trial data on Tablet PCs. The InfoPath forms are stored on a Windows
SharePoint Services site and the data is submitted electronically to a
SQL Server database using BizTalk 2002
