SCLB went to see
“Fox”.

After the bushfire...

... Magpie was hurt. Her wing was
broken when a tree fell on her.
Along came Dog, who only had one
good eye. Magpie thought that Dog
was going to eat her.
Dog with one eye.
x
Dog wanted to be Magpie’s friend.
Magpie will be Dog’s missing eye
and Dog will be Magpie’s broken
wing.
Dog put Magpie on his back and
jumped over the water. Magpie
thought their reflection was a
strange animal but Dog said, “It is
just us.”
x
Then Fox came into the forest with
his red coat and brown boots.
x
Dog and Magpie thought Fox looked
scary. Fox kept looking at Magpie.
“I can run faster than Dog,” said Fox
to Magpie. “You will like flying with
me.”
x
Fox ran with Magpie into the hot
desert. He took her off his back and
left her on the sand.
Dog tried to find Magpie because
Dog and Magpie were friends. Fox
was jealous. He ran away and went
back home.
x
Magpie was still in the hot desert.
x
The actors used puppets, costumes and
actions to tell the story of “Fox”. They
used white cloth for Magpie’s wings when
she was remembering how to fly.
The singer had long hair. She sang the
story of Fox, Dog and Magpie.
We had a great time!
