About degree evaluation…
This includes the classes you are enrolled in for
the next semester, too. For example, if it shows
you have 24 hours toward your degree it does
not mean that you have passed 24 hours, it
means that the twelve hours you are taking this
semester, and the 12 you are taking next
semester count toward your degree.
About degree evaluation…
• The Degree Evaluation is broken up into sections
much like a General Education requirement
sheet. To find out what else might be needed to
complete each area, you can find a PDF of the
Gen Ed requirements at:
http://www.emporia.edu/dotAsset/7a3396a4b6aa-44be-bd11-c5501e208235.pdf.
• A PDF of your major requirements is
here: http://www.emporia.edu/sac/list-ofmajors.html
• Contact your Advisor with questions.

Apply for Graduation
Please make sure that you do not proceed with this
submission until you have really read ALL of the
directions. For example, if the curriculum that
shows up is incomplete or entirely wrong (e.g. you
are told you are pursuing a Bachelor of Science
when you know you are actually pursuing a
Bachelor of Arts, or your minor is not listed), STOP
and contact the Degree Analysis office at 341-5150
or via e-mail at [email protected]. In such
cases we need to make sure we have the
opportunity to correct your record right away to
prevent a possible graduation delay.

level = 210)
• [language] 110 + [language] 210 + 3-hour course = 13
hours
• OR
• [language] 210 + 3-hour course = 8 hours (for students
who can start beyond 1st semester of language)
• OR
• 300-level [language] course + 3-hour course = 6 hours
(for students who can start beyond 1st & 2nd semesters
of language)
BA Foreign Language Requirement
Rule of Thumb for Foreign Language Course Placement
• 1 year of high school language = 1 college semester (start in
210)
• 2 years of high school = 2 college semesters (start in 300level course)
• 3-4 years of high school = SA 314
• Spanish heritage students should go to SA 314
• Note: Students will take a placement assessment at
beginning of the semester to verify correct course level
