 Quotation Marks are used in text to
identify the exact words a person has
spoken

• They are placed before the first word and after
the last word spoken
• Usually there are words before or after the
quotation that indicate who is speaking. These
are separated from the spoken words by
commas
EXAMPLES:

habit of that.”
