Unit summary
• The purpose of this unit plan is for children
with ADHD to learn how to spell a word
using body movements.
• This will make them participate and give
their undivided attention inside the
classroom.
• This will be a great help for special
educators in handling children with ADHD.

Instructional Procedures
The teacher will instruct the students to stand
up and move around. Bringing movement to
the lesson will bring excitement into learning
basic words.
• Jump up and down while spelling out words
• Use a ball to bounce out the letters
• Have a free dance while everyone spells the same
word together
• With the use of their body, they will spell out the
words
