Lentigines, or its singular form, Lentigo, is a spot
on the skin that is darker than the surrounding
skin. It is more common on people of
Caucasian descent or have fair skin.
Chronic Sun Exposure
Age
Imbalance in melanin production
Heredity
Radiation Therapy
Spots on areas exposed to the Sun
Spots that have either darker
or lighter pigment.
Appearance of darkened spots on the skin.
They do not itch or get irritated
Can be mildly elevated
Cryosurgery
Laser Surgery
Radiation Therapy
Biotherapy
Sunscreen can prevent lentigo from ever
appearing.
