SUN
Sun Spots are areas on the Sun that are
cooler than others.
The Sun is the largest object in the Solar
System.
Light from the sun can reach Earth in only
eight minutes!
MERCURY
Mercury has no atmosphere.
Mercury has no moons.
Mercury’s orbit is not a perfect circle, its
actually egg-shaped!
VENUS
Venus has no moons.
Because Venus is so close to
Earth, it is the brightest planet
at night.
Venus has a lot and a lot of
volcanoes.
EARTH
Earths moon is named Luna.
Scientists use Earth to study all the other
planets.
The diameter of earth is 7,926 miles.
MARS
Mars has two moons.
If you weighed 70 pounds on Earth, you
would weigh 27 pounds on Mars.
All of Mars’s water is either frozen or
underground.
JUPITER
Jupiter has 62 moon.
You can see 4 of Jupiter’s moons with
binoculars at night.
If you weighed 70 pounds on Earth, you
would weigh 185 pounds on Jupiter
SATURN
Saturn has 62 moons
Saturn is well known because of its rings
