Shri Raghunath Vatika
This small Vatika with plenty of
greenery, velvety grass, lots of flowers
and clapping water fall is ideal for
morning walk.
In this Vatika extraordinary efforts have
been made to plant DEV VRAKSHA
(Divine trees found in Heaven), Plants
used in worship of NAV GRAHAS –
Surya, Chandra, Shani, Raahu, Ketu,
etc., PANCH PALLAV (five different
designated trees whose leaves are used
in worship of God), besides ornamental
trees and bushes.

In pleasures and sorrows, Grahas (Celestial
Bodies like stars, moons, planets and asteroids)
have a great influence on human life. If Grahas
are unfavourable, the ill-effect brings sufferings.
Hindu Scriptures contain ways and means to
mitigate such sufferings and bring peace in life.

For the above purposes our Shaastras
recommend a special tree to pacify
(worship) a particular Graha. In the Vatika
selection of such trees has been made as per
Hindu Scriptures with immense efforts.

In Vedas Surya Dev is regarded as
eyes of God. Surya is provider of
knowledge, brilliance, name and
fame etc.
As per Garud Purana, Aak tree
has emerged from God’s pores of
skins and its vicinity. Therefore, it is
a practical form of God and very
appropriate for worship of Surya
Dev.

Chandra Dev is regarded as
master of mind. Worship of Chandra
Dev help in providing inner peace
and inner control.
Palaas tree is very much useful in
worship of Chandra Dev.
It is also believed that Palaas tree
has emerged from the brilliance of
Lord Shiva’s aura.

Mangal Dev is provider of pleasure
and happiness. It gives pleasure
related articles and things. Mangal
Dev is believed to be reliever of
loans and giver of wealth.
As per Hindu Scriptures, Khair is
like blood to Mangal Dev. It is
specially
recommended
by
Shaastras to please Mangal Dev.

Budh Dev is the master of speech,
brilliance and wealth.
Apaamarg is most suitable for
pleasing Budh Dev. It also removes
infectious and contagious diseases,
skin diseases and speech related
diseases.

Barhaspati is guru of all Devtas
and is provider of knowledge,
intelligence and wisdom.
As per Shaastras, Peepal is Lord
Vishnu’s abode. By worshiping this
tree, wisdom will enhance. Its
worship also gives mental peace.
This tree is unparallel in pleasing
God.

Shukra Dev provides worldly
happiness, sexual pleasures, wealth
and healthy body. Shukra Dev is
master of name and fame as well as
happy life.
Gular is full of qualities and is very
helpful in the worship of Shukra
Dev. Gular specially provides
source of income, happiness and
pleasure.

Shani Dev is considered as Lord of
law and justice in Hindu Scriptures.
He is provider of fame, eloquent
speech, high rankings in life, high
worldly status, happiness of life,
etc.etc.
Shami tree is very helpful in
pleasing Shani Dev. This tree kills
pains and removes unhappiness.

Raahu is master of family growth
and physical happiness.
Doorva is very useful to please
Raahu. It saves from bad dreams. It
also relieves from various types of
diseases .

Ketu is provider of family pleasure
as well as social pleasure.
Kushaa is regarded in the Shaastras
as a form of Brahma Dev. It
bestows great pleasures as well as
faultless intellect. It also saves from
worldly faults.

Divine trees are very dear to the Lord and so
they are very useful in human life. Their
vicinity grants happiness, peace and
prosperity. They help in God’s worship. As
per Hindu Scriptures, divine trees are
available in the Heaven. They have been
brought to earth on various special occasions
to serve special purposes.

In Raghunath Vatika these divine trees have
been planted as per Shaastras in consultation
with various botany experts.

As per Hindu Scriptures, Kalptaru
emerged
during
sea-churning
(Samudra Manthan).
It is the form of divine thought. Its
worship gives all what is desired. It
is a practical form of Soul. It is also
believed that this tree is not
destroyed even at the time of final
dissolution of the Universe (Pralay).

Vilv is regarded as abode of
Goddess Laxmi. Its greatness is
unlimited.
Worship of Lord Shiva is carried
out by leaves of this tree. By its
worship, all the sins committed
during many earlier lives are
destroyed.

Paarijaat tree is Lord Vishnu’s
abode.
As per Bhagwat Purana, Lord
Krishna brought this tree from
Heaven to please Mother Satya

Goddess Saraswati is believed to
reside in Kadamb tree. It is also
very dear to Lord Krishna.
Flowers of Kadamb are specially
used to please Lord Shiva and Maa
Bhagwati.

Rudraksha tree is Lord Shiva’s
abode.
It is believed that Rudraksha was
produced from eye-drops of Lord
Shiva. Thus, It is also viewed as a
symbol of Lord Shiva.
During jaapa (recitation) is used for
pleasing God.

The leaves of Panch Pallavas are regarded as very pious
and auspicious. Saint Sukha Dev delivered Shrimad
Bhagwat to Raja Parikshit sitting under the shade of these
trees.
In Raghunath Vatika these divine trees have been
planted as per Shaastras in consultation with various
botany experts.

Mango is regarded as a top most
fruit and an extremely useful tree.
As per religious Scriptures, its
leaves are auspicious and nectar
like.
Its leaves are regarded as blessed
food of Lord Ganesha.

It is believed that during dissolution
of the Universe (Pralay) Lord
Narayana rests on the Vat tree
leaves.
Therefore, this tree is considered as
‘Aadi Vraksha’ (first and foremost
tree).
It is also treated as a form of Lord
Shiva himself. That is why it is
unparallel in its grandeur.

As per Hindu Scriptures, Peepal is
the abode of Lord Vishnu.
In Bhagwat Geeta, Lord Krishna
has declared that He is like Peepal
amongst the trees.
Therefore, Peepal is regarded as the
holiest and the best amongst all
trees.

All the three Goddesses reside
in Pilkhun tree.
It bestows wisdom, wealth and
knowledge.
Therefore,
its
importance is enormous.

In Shaastra’s Gular is mentioned
as Kuber Tree.
It is also believed to be occupied by
Kuber Dev along with Yakshas.
It relieves from large number of
diseases.

The fountain located in the Vatika is
called ‘Gangavtaran’ because it
flows from ‘Shiv Jatas’.
Nine different types of stones have
been used in its construction.
The fountain is lighted with seven
different coloured lights. It,
therefore, presents a magnificent
sight.
