ATTENDANCE POLICY
▪ MAJOR CHANGE FROM MIDDLE
SCHOOL = YOU WILL “FF” DUE TO
ABSENCES, EVEN IF YOU PASS THE
CLASS!!!!
▪ Students must bring a note to keep on
record
▪ Students must be present for at least ½ of
a class period to be counted present for
the 90 minute period.
▪ Any student missing more than 7 days
per semester has exceeded the attendance
requirements and must complete a waiver
request to have course credit reinstated.
ATHLETIC
ELIGIBILITY
Based on NC High School
Athletic Association policy, an
athlete must:
•be in attendance at least 85% of
the previous semester
•have passed 70% credits courses
that semester in order to be
eligible for sports. (3 out of 4)
•8th grade courses do not count
towards this…all students are
eligible 1st semester of their 9th
grade year---FRESH START!
DRIVING
ELIGIBILITY
■
North Carolina state law
requires a student to be
passing 3 of 4 of courses
attempted in order to
receive a driving eligibility
certificate or keep their
driving permit or license.
