My parents still live in my childhood home in
Chesterfield.
I am married to Dave, a Computer Specialist
Consultant and live in St. Charles.
I have 3 teenagers:
Brianna is a Senior, attending DePauw University in
Indiana and is playing college Volleyball.
Logan is a Junior, attending UMC, MIZZOU
Valerie is a Sophomore, attending Westminster
College and is playing college soccer.
We have a 14 year old Yellow Lab named Roscoe
and one 1 ½ year old named Rex.

World History:
Southwest Middle School



World History presents significant people and
events. It also encompasses broad historical
themes that occur through time.
Students will apply concepts from the social
sciences including economics, geography, and
government/civics to the study of medieval history.
Areas of study include: River Valley Civilizations,
Egypt, Ancient Greece, Egypt, Ancient Rome,
Byzantine Empire, African Empires, Europe, Middle
Ages, Japanese Feudalism, Mayas, Aztecs, and
Incas.
World History
Class Requirements





Students in World History class will need to:
create a WH folder with pockets, prongs and paper to be brought to
each class period
be prepared for class by bringing their World History textbook, a
pencil, pen, hi-lighter, thin black marker and a personal book to read
each class period
have a personal flash drive will be important throughout the year
be responsible and aware to meet deadlines and be prepared for
upcoming assessments

Have a positive attitude, good behavior, and be ready to learn,
work together, and have fun. 
World History:
Goals and Objectives



The intent, is for students to gain information and
knowledge of ancient times through the Middle Ages
with a brief introduction to prehistory.
Students will be engaged in technology, group work,
self-study and research to make connections with
the understandings of the past and be able to show
how they effect contemporary life and the potential
impact on the future.
Students should be prepared for class each day with
their assignments and materials, and be ready to
share new information with their classmates.
