The Causes of WWII

After WWI
Losing WWI caused Germany great economic
trouble. Adolf Hitler tried to Overthrow
Germany and was sent to prison for nine
months. In prison, Hitler wrote Mein Kampf,
which blamed Jews for Germany’s trouble.
Hitler and the Nazis Attack Jews
When he got out of prison, Hitler had many
followers. He led the Nazis and overthrew
the German government. The Nazis stormed
Jewish cities and put Jews in death camps.
The War Begins
The Soviet Union joined Germany and took
over all their rivals in Europe except Britain.
Germany turned on the Soviet Union despite
the treaty between the two countries. Japan
joined Germany and took over most of
eastern Asia. Japan then bombed Pearl
Harbor. The U.S. joined Britain in the war.
WWII had officially begun.
