Web Redesign Project
The Web Redesign project will improve the user experience with a
responsive design informed by a strategic research and discovery
phase. The project includes content inventories and audits for all
departments and units on the current website.
Drupal CMS
•
The new website will be built in Drupal 8, a content
management system (CMS) with flexible core principles based
on structured content to deliver a dynamic web experience
for the user.
StoutCloud
•
Content intended for UW-Stout internal audiences will be
migrated to StoutCloud, a permissions based online intranet.
•
Migration of Phase One sites to StoutCloud will begin in
February 2017.

Web Redesign Project
•
The Web Management Team, under the
direction of the Web Oversight
Committee and in collaboration with
Enterprise Information Systems (EIS),
has completed the Research &
Discovery phase of the project.
•
Palantir.net, a full-service web agency is
helping us complete the Research
Outcomes phase to identify key
functionality, information architecture
and content governance.
•
The Information Architecture phase of
the redesign project will begin in
September 2016.

The Web Oversight Committee,
a Chancellor appointed
committee, is revising the
university’s Web Policy to be
used as a working governance
draft during Design and
Development of the new
website.
•
The Web Management Team
and EIS will work with an
outside Drupal developer during
the Production phase.
•
Phase One of the new website
will go live in August 2017.
