Today, CEOs and executive management teams are under
intense scrutiny as a result of the economic landscape and
widely-publicized scandals surrounding large corporations.
The investor and customer alike are demanding visible
leadership.
CEOs and the entire C-Suite are more responsible for the brand
identity and image of their organization.
A charismatic, engaging CEO will receive higher accolades by
customers (i.e. more deals closed) and greater compensation
(according to a recent study presented at the Academy of
Management in 2003).
Executive leadership, executive presence, executive clarity is
vital. Thus, executive communications training is an essential
component to a strong, viable executive management team.
MediaMethod offers a proven, step-by-step process to enable
executives to address all the critical audiences in a powerful,
effective manner.
Hundreds of executives have learned how to strengthen their
communications.

Companies have lost millions of dollars in a crisis. Companies have filed bankruptcy
as result of a crisis. Companies have lost the trust and loyalty of customers in a crisis.
•
Crisis situations are inevitable. Planning by management prior to the crisis is the best
approach to control and minimize the effects of a crisis.
•
Crisis management is a systematic, proven approach for preparing for, containing and
controlling the potential negative effects of a crisis situation.
•
During a crisis, there are two main goals that must be achieved simultaneously:
– Issue Resolution and
– Effective Reassuring
•
MediaMethod works with companies to proactively plan for and confidently address
crisis situations.
•
Our crisis program is divided into four important aspects:
– Crisis Messaging
– Crisis Media Training
– Crisis Plan Development
– Crisis Execution

Jim King
Jim is a results-oriented, creative, energetic individual with thirty years of executive success in communications, marketing, marketing
support, direct marketing, strategy, planning, and product development. His primary focus has been in product development and new
product launches. Jim has worked in the technology, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, distribution, construction, and
apparel industries.
Jim held executive positions in small entrepreneurial companies, with less than $3m in sales, to one of the largest Fortune 100
companies in the world. His career positions varied from a CFO in McCarthy Brothers Company, a $100m construction company; to a
V.P. of Operations for Technology Consulting Associates LLC, a small $2.5m systems integrations firm; the Director of European
Strategy and Development, to a V.P. of Operations in Europe for IBM in Paris.
Jim has lived in London and Paris and has worked on a global basis. He has formulated media, marketing, and communication plans on
a worldwide basis. His international experience includes launch campaigns and major conference and exhibition support. Jim interfaced
with the European community to develop new products and execute new product launch plans for over a decade.
In addition to the “normal” product communication activity, Jim established a complementary marketing program, its education plan,
and launch activities by which 85 percent of a major hardware manufacturer delivers its hardware. This initiative required extensive
communication and education inside, and outside, of the company to establish acceptance and success.
While at IBM, Jim’s role as an instructor at IBM’s executive education and marketing training center formed a solid foundation for his
product launch activity and his guest speaking engagements around the world. Jim has presented various topics at IBM, Mapics,
PeopleSoft, SSA, and SAP conferences in the US and abroad. Additionally, he has been a guest lecturer at numerous national
construction industry association conferences on various management-level topics.
Jim is delighted to be a part of the MediaMethod delivery team. He is now helping companies of all shapes and sizes to develop a clear
concise company or product message and effectively deliver it to the market. Jim is able to bring real life experience into workshops
through his varied and extensive background. His business insights have helped companies improve internal communications through
message “alignment” within the company.
