Sketches, drawings, or physical models are useful in communication of ideas –
We have been subjected to many of these since the 1960's. Many of them are
wrong, have been known to be wrong for several years. But they are still being
used in textbooks and in the NGSSD.
Notice as the NGSSD is quoted in this presentation that only evolution is used, no
other possible solution is allowed.
ETS1.C is what this presentation is all about, and what we are asking to be
continued in the classroom. Suppression of all but evolution is bad science.

This presentation is designed – not to disprove evolution or prove the
creationist viewpoint. Only to show that there are alternatives to the
current evolutionary model that our children will be forced to learn.
The current evolutionary model is flawed in many ways. Although the
current saying is “The world makes no sense without evolution”, our
view is that there is no indisputable evidence for evolution. Thats
right....NONE !!
I will show evidence that according to the evolutionary model the
Standards attempt to use is contradictory and self-defeating. The model
actually disproves itself by evidence.
I will also show evidence that at least in the past textbooks use flawed
and known to be incorrect sketches, drawings, and physical models.
In short the New Standards are known by the “Scientists” that put them
together to be propaganda.

We are a Christian based group from the Church of Christ in Villa Rica,
Georgia with a web site that is attempting to get the word out that the
Next Generation Science Standards Document is in the process of
being used by 26 states to update the Science teaching of the next few
years. We believe that Science Standards are in grave need of being
updated. However, evolution has no place being taught as the only
acceptable model in science.
The NGSSD does not allow for opposing ideas or evidence to be
taught. I believe the suppression of ideas and evidence is at best bad
science and could easily be considered brain washing or propaganda.
There is a period of time allowed for the public to have input into the
process of updating these Standards. We would like the people who do
not believe in evolution to take advantage of this opportunity.

the Big Bang. Nearly all observable matter in the universe is hydrogen or
helium, which formed in the first minutes after the Big Bang. (b)

The solar system consists of the sun and a collection of objects, including

and the apparent motions of the planets in the sky relative to the stars. (a)
Earth’s spin axis is fixed in direction (in the short-term) but tilted relative to its orbit
around the sun; the differential intensity of sunlight on different areas of Earth over the
year is a result of that tilt, as are the seasons that result. (a)

The star called the sun is changing and will burn out over a lifespan of approximately 10 billion
years. (a)
The sun is one of more than 200 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and the Milky Way is just one
of hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe. (b)
The spectra and brightness of stars are used to identify their compositional elements, movements,
and distances from Earth and to develop explanations about the formation, age, and composition of
the universe. The Big Bang theory is supported by the fact that it provides an explanation
of observations of distant galaxies receding from our own, of the measured composition
of stars and nonstellar gases, and of the maps of spectra of the primordial radiation
(cosmic microwave background) that still fills the universe. (c)
Other than the hydrogen and helium formed at the time of the Big Bang, nuclear fusion
within stars produces all atomic nuclei lighter than and including iron, and the process
releases electromagnetic energy. Heavier elements are produced when certain massive
stars achieve a supernova stage and explode. (c),(d)

Kepler’s laws describe common features of the motions of orbiting objects, including their
elliptical paths. Orbits may change due to the gravitational effects from, or collisions with, other
objects in the solar system. (e)
Cyclic changes in the shape of Earth’s orbit around the sun, together with changes in the
orientation of the planet’s axis of rotation, have altered the intensity and distribution of sunlight
falling on Earth. These changes, both occurring over tens to hundreds of thousands of years,
cause cycles of ice ages and other gradual climate changes. (f),(g)

major change occurs in the history of man as they learn to grow crops
and can settle in one area instead of having to wander

Channel, TLC and just about any current TV show as well as science
textbooks since the 1960's.

These 2 views are not compatible. We can believe evolution or we can believe
the Bible, but there is no room for theistic evolution – this is just another term
for calling the Bible a lie.
But which view is actually compatible with the evidence?
Christians should never think that true Science and the Bible are somehow
separate. Christians are always for true science. Have there been
misinterpretations of the Bible throughout the history of man? YES !! Has there
been misinterpretations of science in the history of man? YES !! But true
science and true Bible interpretation are one and the same.
The Bible is not a science book, but when it teaches a scientific subject – it has
always been proven to be true.

Several ways of dating rocks, plants and animals that have been found.
Science has yet to find a consistent dating method. There have been instances
of hair, tissue or DNA samples of still living animals being dated at 2000-3000
years old. Would the company that does this dating want to admit error? Of
course not. So when they find out they have been duped into showing
inaccuracies they cover it up.

Radioactive-decay lifetimes and isotopic content in rocks provide a way of dating
rock formations and thereby fixing the scale of geologic time. (a)
Continental rocks, which can be older than 4 billion years, are generally much older than the
rocks of the ocean floor, which are less than 200 million years old. (b)
Although active geologic processes, such as plate tectonics and erosion, have destroyed or
altered most of the very early rock record on Earth, other objects in the solar system, such as lunar
rocks, asteroids, and meteorites, have changed little over billions of years. Studying these objects
can provide information about Earth’s formation and early history. (c)

I spent 20 years in Georgia Power “Test Shop” and calibrated thousands of
instruments that measured light, pressure, and temperature. The common
calibration procedure included low end and high end measurements against a
known standard. The United States even has an “Office of Weights and
Measures “. In olden days how did people know how much an ounce was, a
pound, a gram? Shady people would shave off or add to their weighing devices
so they could cheat customers.
Today we have “Scientists” telling us that they have devices that can tell us the
age of rocks, plants or animals that are many thousands or millions of years
old. How do they calibrate these instruments? There are no known standards to
go by, only guesses of what humans have thought that the measurements
should be....this is not according to good operating practices (or good science)
and will give false readings....like still living specimens showing thousands of
years old maybe?

In Creation, Evolution, and the Age of the Earth, pp. 25 – 28 Wayne Jackson
looks at some specific examples of inaccurate dating methods.
1. Basaltic rocks from Hawaii, known to be less than 200 years old when the
potassium-argon method was used were dated at 160 million to 3 billion years
old.
2. The shell of living mullusks using the C-14 (Carbon-14) method of dating
were dated at up to 2,300 years old. Freshly killed seals 1,300 years old.

Earth has changed over time. Understanding how landforms develop, are
weathered (broken down into smaller pieces), and erode (get transported
elsewhere) can help to infer the history of the current landscape. (a),(f)
Local, regional, and global patterns of rock formations reveal
changes over time due to earth forces, such as earthquakes. The
presence and location of certain fossil types indicate the order in
which rock layers were formed. (g)
Patterns of tree rings and ice cores from glaciers can help reconstruct Earth’s

calcium deposits that grew water drop by water drop until they are
sometimes several feet high. Since there is so little calcium per drop,
obviously these structures take thousands or millions of years to
grow....right?

old...right? Fossil layers are found all over the world that shows that the
Darwinian “Tree of Life” is accurate and has taken millions of years....or does
it?


Well how about the deep canyons like the Grand Canyon and others
throughout the world...they took millions of years to form as their rivers and
streams cut through solid rock to form these grand sights. You may have
guessed...Mt St. Helens has formed these same type structures about 400 ft
deep in 30 years.
Ok enough about old/young earth, maybe evolution is right, maybe not. We
can't prove it either way. But does the evidence show that the Bible record is
wrong.....uhhhhhhhhhh – NO !!

Standards
In January, Georgia and 26 other states will be finalizing new Science
Standards for grades K-12. There will be a period in January that the public will
be given to be able to give feedback to the state committees about what will be
taught in our public schools. The wording (as we have seen) of the new
Science Standards leaves no room for argument. With wording like “the student
will be able to prove through use of the fossil record”, or “DNA record”, or the
“Embryological progression” that evolution is fact. We have all been taught
these “proofs” as we came through school, but we were told that this was
theory. As you will notice, the Theory is no longer a part of the teaching. It is
supposed fact. If this passes, that is the Standard. It is what the teachers must
abide by and use. There are many problems with these “proofs”. Let us look at
a few.

I do not know the background of this web site, it just came up using Bing web
browser.
The “Big Bang” is not universally accepted. I watched a TV show on science
channel on the formation of the universe that took an entirely different view on
the formation of the universe and called it the “Big Bounce”. All of these
theories have problems however.
Where did the original “pinpoint” of matter come from?
Where did the energy or matter that collided with this pinpoint come from?
Some are trying to rewrite the First Law of Thermodynamics (E=MC2)so that a
1 time event where conservation of matter/energy allowed something from
nothing. This is bad science.
The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that all thing move from the current
state into a more chaotic state (entropy). This cannot be reconciled with
Evolution which states that all things are progressing into a more advanced
state. Again, evolution is shown to be bad science.

1. The changes that living, growing things go through as they
live in accordance with biologic or environmental changes. This
is known as micro-evolution. These changes can be seen,
whether as changes in beak size, color, body structure (such as
musculature) whether to an individual or as passed to offspring.
2. Changes that require major body changes such as cold vs.
warm blooded, complete physical changes where one specie
“evolves” into an entirely different specie. This is known as
macro-evolution. These changes cannot be seen, and although
the evolutionist has been saying this has been happening over
time, there is no proof. There are no “missing links” that have
ever been found.
Saying something repeatedly, no matter how many times it is
said, does not make it true.
A bacteria stays a bacteria, a dogs stays a dog, a horse stays a
horse.

Adaptation by natural selection acting over generations is one important
process by which species change over time in response to changes in
environmental conditions. (g)
Traits that support successful survival and reproduction in the new
environment become more common; those that do not become less common.
Thus, the distribution of traits in a population changes. (f)
In separated populations with different conditions, the changes can be large
enough that the populations, provided they remain separated (a process
called reproductive isolation), evolve to be separate species. (g)
Two examples that have been used in the past for “proof” of the
evolution of new species are Darwin's Finches from the Galapagos
Islands and the “Peppered Moths of Manchester”, England. Whether
these 2 examples will be used in the new textbook we don't know, but
they have been used before. Lets take a look at them.

Darwin's Finches
Darwin's finches are found in the area of the Galapagos Islands. There are
13 species found in the Galapagos and a 14th species found on Cocos
Island about 400 miles away. The differences are found mostly in the size
and shape of their beaks. The short explanation for the Evolutionary
theory is that the birds evolved over many generations so that their beaks
are best suited for the diet they utilize.
Darwin never actually correlated these finches with Evolution. It was
actually two men named Percy Lowe and David Lack several years after
Darwin visited the Galapagos that termed them “Darwin's Finches”. In
1973 Peter and Rosemary Grant went to the Galapagos Islands to study
the finches. In 1977 there was a drought in the area and the Grants
noticed that the population size of one type finch decreased by about 85
% and the survivors average beak size increased about 15 %. From this
arose a theory that it would take about “20 selection events” to produce a
new species of finch with a larger beak size, or about 200 years (droughts
occur about every 10 years).

In 1983 El Nino hit the Galapagos Islands bringing more rain than usual. After this
rain abundance, the finch population was examined again, with the conclusion that
the population had returned to the previous levels. The conclusion was that the
changes in finch characteristics were cyclic and not cumulative. This was reported
in 1987 by Peter Grant and his graduate student Lisa Gibbs in Nature Magazine.
In fact, more recent studies have shown that the number of actual “species” as
determined by the ability to interbreed may actually need to be reduced to 4 or 6,
and that due to the interbreeding of some of these “different species”, there is
actually a merging of species, not a divergence. This would be the opposite of the
evolutionary model.
It has been 25 years since the scientist (Peter Grant) came to the conclusion that
the changes in Darwin's Finches was cyclic, not cumulative. Again, micro-evolution
showing adaptation of species to the environment is not in question. The problem is
Evolution using these finches to “prove” new higher species can form from lower
species (macro-evolution). The current Science Standard is still trying to use these
finches as “proof” of macro-evolution against evidence that has been known for 25
years. There is a good possibility that the new 2014 Standards will again try to use
them. That is bad science. That is propaganda.

Peppered moths of Manchester
In short, there are light colored and darker “peppered” moths around
Manchester, England. When industrialization and pollution in the area killed off
the lichen covering local tree trucks causing a darker background on tree trucks
of the area, the darker moths grew proportionally in number and the lighter
colored decreased.
Problems:
This experiment has not been reproducible elsewhere.
The evidence gathered was on moths on tree trunks, however, normally the
moths do not use tree trunks to land. It has been admitted that to get the
evidence wanted, the author either glued or pinned the moths to the tree trunks.
In 1998 University of Chicago evolutionary biologist Jerry Coyne wrote that this
experiment is “flawed or down right wrong”.
Again, micro-evolution showing adaptation of species to the environment is not
in question. The problem is Evolution using these moths to “prove” new higher
species can form from lower species (macro-evolution). The texts from the new
Standards may still try to use these moths as “proof” of macro-evolution
against evidence that has been known for 24 years. That is bad science. It is
propaganda.

of the sedimentary layers in which they are found or through radioactive dating) is known as the
fossil record. It documents the existence, diversity, extinction, and change of many life forms
throughout the history of life on Earth. Because of the conditions necessary for their
preservation, not all types of organisms that existed in the past have left fossils that can be
retrieved. (c)
Anatomical similarities and differences between various organisms living today and between
them and organisms in the fossil record, enable the reconstruction of evolutionary history and
the inference of lines of evolutionary descent. (b)
Comparison of the embryological development of different species also reveals similarities that
show relationships not evident in the fully-formed anatomy. (d)

The Fossil Record
All over the world there are beds of fossils that archeologists dig up every day.
It is amazing to me that these “beds” have numerous types of fossils mixed up
in the same area, usually a low lying area. Bones are almost never together
(sometimes they are). Wait a minute....in many locations where this occurs, the
governments have put up plaques stating that “localized flooding” washed all
these fossils into the same area....hmmm....localized flooding in areas all over
the world... strange isn't it? Almost every culture in the world has a “Flood
myth”. I have been told that the Chinese symbol for flood roughly translates “8
people boat”.

Since dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago and humans have only been
around for about 50 thousand years...could man and dinosaur have ever lived
together? NO is what science tells us. There is no way. As a matter of fact text
books have printed that if this was ever proven, it would disprove Darwinian
Evolution. What if human footprints were found fossilized in dinosaur
footprints? How could this occur if they didn't live at the same time? What if
humans painted cave walls with portraits of dinosaurs in their hunting
pictorials? What if these cave paintings were more accurate than “Scientists” of
the time and that years later the fossil record proved the paintings were more
accurate ? How did those cave painters know? How about if ancient pottery was
found that depicted a human riding a dinosaur? Maybe its a worldwide hoax? Or
is it evolution that is the worldwide hoax ?

We have been told that the fossil record shows that man came from apes. Did
you know that the entire fossil record of man could fit in a single coffin ? That
all “missing links” have been proven to be hoaxes? But, alas, our “scientific”
community will not give up regardless of where the evidence points.

In Icons of Evolution Science or Myth, p 220-221, Henry Gee (Chief Science
writer for Nature Magazine) is quoted as saying that all evidence for human
evolution “between about 10 and 5 million years ago – several thousand
generations of living creatures – can be fitted into a small box.”
The same writer states “To take a line of fossils and claim that they represent a
lineage is not a scientific hypothesis that can be tested, but an assertion that
carries the same validity as a bedtime story – amusing, perhaps even
instructive, but not scientific.

Embryological Evidence
This is the view that all “higher level” animals go through their evolutionary development
as embryos. There is a drawing that many textbooks use to show this multistage
embryonic development. Problem is …. The artist made it all up. They are not accurate
renditions of the stages of development. There is a book I highly recommend called
“Icons of Evolution Science or Myth?” by Jonathan Wells. Jonathan Wells is an
embryologist. He knew from his study of this subject that the embryological drawing was
wrong. He wondered if the modern scientific community would publish this incorrect
drawing to prove their point, what were other branches of science using? He found that
all 10 of the scientific areas that he examined used information, drawings, or conclusions
that have been known for years to be wrong, made up, or evidence suppressed so that the
evolutionary model could be “proven”. Modern science is not science, it is propaganda.
One area of human embryology known to be wrong are the “gill slits” that form during
human development. What we are told are “gill slits” are actually just folds of skin. There
are no openings in the skin, there are no gill structures. Just folds. The artist rendering of
the embryo development as printed in textbooks have been known for years to be wrong,
the idea of the artist not based on fact or actual embryo development, but these drawings
are still being printed in textbooks. Science, brain washing or propaganda ?....you decide.

Genetic information, like the fossil record, also provides evidence of evolution. DNA
sequences vary among species, but there are many overlaps; in fact, the ongoing
branching that produces multiple lines of descent can be inferred by comparing the
DNA sequences of different organisms. Such information is also derivable from the
similarities and differences in amino acid sequences and from anatomical and
embryological evidence. (e)

Natural selection occurs only if there is both (1) variation in the genetic
information between organisms in a population and (2) variation in the expression of
that genetic information—that is, trait variation—that leads to differences in
performance among individuals. (a),(c)
The traits that positively affect survival are more likely to be reproduced, and thus
are more common in the population. (b),(c),(d),(f)
I am not going to discuss DNA evidence. That would make this presentation too
long, but 2 questions I will ask. 1) Does DNA prove a random chance or a designer?
2) Which came first RNA or DNA ?

Natural selection is the result of four factors: (1) the potential for a species to
increase in number, (2) the genetic variation of individuals in a species due to
mutation and sexual reproduction, (3) competition for an environment’s limited
supply of the resources that individuals need in order to survive and reproduce, and
(4) the ensuing proliferation of those organisms that are better able to survive and
reproduce in that environment. (a)
Natural selection leads to adaptation, that is, to a population dominated by
organisms that are anatomically, behaviorally, and physiologically well suited to
survive and reproduce in a specific environment. That is, the differential survival and
reproduction of organisms in a population that have an advantageous heritable trait
leads to an increase in the proportion of individuals in future generations that have
the trait and to a decrease in the proportion of individuals that do not. (b),(c),(f)
Adaptation also means that the distribution of traits in a population can change
when conditions change. (d)
Changes in the physical environment, whether naturally occurring or human
induced, have thus contributed to the expansion of some species, the emergence of
new distinct species as populations diverge under different conditions, and the
decline–and sometimes the extinction–of some species. (d)
Species become extinct because they can no longer survive and reproduce in their
altered environment. If members cannot adjust to change that is too fast or drastic,
the opportunity for the species’ evolution is lost. (d)

Natural Selection
Natural selection is the hallmark of Darwinian Evolution. Otherwise known as
“the survival of the fittest”. The fastest runner may survive the predator attack,
the best camouflaged may be able to hide instead of being eaten. The most
adaptable bacteria may be able to survive the antibiotics (actually all bacteria
types have survivors of antibiotics. The immune system in the body has to
eradicate those survivors). My question is.... how does this relate to
biodiversity, ancestry and rates of evolution? How can fossil and biochemical
evidence support the theory.....there have been, and never will be one specie
becoming an ancestor of another macro-evolutionary specie. Natural selections
give rise to differences in dog or cat breeds, not in a dog becoming a cat or the
other way around. Changes in organisms occur, we know that. But after all the
changes take place...it is still the same type organism..period. No proof has ever
been discovered to the contrary. This doesn't prove evolution. Natural Selection
has however had an effect on the history of man.

Natural Selection
Since the dawn of time every tribe has considered themselves to be “better”
than the other tribes around them. Stronger, faster, sneakier...whatever. Darwin
gave a “scientific” bias to this idea. If I can prove I'm better, if I can defeat the
other types of human, I must be superior, a more highly evolved race. Therefore,
slavery is not a moral problem, it is the logical conclusion of being more
advanced.
Remember the super race of the 1940's? Yes, the Aryan nation of Germany.
Hitler's grand army of super soldiers who were more evolutionary advanced
than any other. Jews were an old race that were flawed whose evolutionary
branch needed to be cut off. Hitler's grand design was straight out of the
evolutionary train of thought. If the “survival of the fittest” is the way of the
world, and I am the highest, then I need to be sure the others do not survive.
Simple, effective thinking. Just wrong.

If survival of the fittest is true, and we came from the primordial slime of billions
of years ago the logical conclusion is that my electrical and chemical impulses
are just as good as yours. Hitler was not an evil man. There is no such thing as
evil. There is no such thing as good. Whatever feels good...do it. You want to try
drugs, there is no “higher standard” saying anything is wrong with it. You want
to kill or rape? Just do it to an inferior race (or maybe anyone). You want to
break into your neighbors house and take everything they have....nothing wrong
with it. Why censor TV shows, why have a movie rating guide. Why not lie to get
whatever you want? Why not kill yourself because you can find no meaning in
life? Wait a minute....sounds like today's headlines, doesn't it?
However, if the Bible is true, there is a God that made all this as the Bible says.
Then God's standard is the “higher standard” and we must do as HE says.
Murder, rape, theft, and mind altering drugs become wrong, immoral and evil.
We must hold to HIS teaching to know how to live.

We have been subjected to many of these since the 1960's. Many of them are
wrong, have been known to be wrong for several years. But they are still being
used in textbooks and in the NGSSD.
Notice as the NGSSD is quoted in this presentation that only evolution is used, no
other possible solution is allowed.
ETS1.C is what this presentation is all about, and what we are asking to be
continued in the classroom. Suppression of all but evolution is bad science.
