Dielectric Glass in depth…
◦ A dielectric mirror, also known as a Bragg mirror, is a type of mirror composed of multiple thin layers of dielectric material,
typically deposited on a substrate of glass or some other optical material. By careful choice of the type and thickness of the
dielectric layers, one can design an optical coating with specified reflectivity at different wavelengths of light. Dielectric mirrors
are also used to produce ultra-high reflectivity mirrors: values of 99.999% or better over a narrow range of wavelengths can be
produced using special techniques. Alternatively, they can be made to reflect a broad spectrum of light, such as the entire
visible range or the spectrum of the Ti-sapphire laser. Mirrors of this type are very common in optics experiments, due to
improved techniques that allow inexpensive manufacture of high-quality mirrors. Examples of their applications
include laser cavity end mirrors, hot and cold mirrors, thin-film beam splitters, and the coatings on modern mirror shades.
◦ Dielectric mirrors function based on the interference of light reflected from the different layers of dielectric stack. This is the
same principle used in multi-layer anti-reflection coatings, which are dielectric stacks which have been designed to minimize
rather than maximize reflectivity. Simple dielectric mirrors function like one-dimensional photonic crystals, consisting of a
stack of layers with a high refractive index interleaved with layers of a low refractive index. The thicknesses of the layers are
chosen such that the path-length differences for reflections from different high-index layers are integer multiples of the
wavelength for which the mirror is designed. The reflections from the low-index layers have exactly half a wavelength in path
length difference, but there is a 180-degree difference in phase shift at a low-to-high index boundary, compared to a high-to-low
index boundary, which means that these reflections are also in phase. In the case of a mirror at normal incidence, the layers
have a thickness of a quarter wavelength.
Improved optical appearance
◦ Improved optical appearance
◦ Enhanced optical transmission to provide better visual comfort in displays
◦ More flexibility with various types of base glasses and larger sizes
Today, glass permeates every aspect of our life. Mirror is perfect for any interior space—decorative walls, wardrobe doors, display
cases, and more. Rooms sparkle when Mirror reflects artwork, sculpture, and unique interior architecture. Dielectric Mirror uses
advanced glass coating technology to open up the minds of designers creating features and fittings that can add a new dimension to
modern interior design By creating Dielectric Mirror using the most advanced magnetron glass coating technology, DMTV-UAE
offers one of the best options on the market to reduce distraction caused by high absorption in regular high reflective glasses.
Dielectric Mirror removes the excessive dark aspect so familiar in many of these glass applications and provides a commercial
advantage with a product display unspoiled by excessively dark glass an be tempered and processed into laminated safety glass

Standard Dielectric Our most popular glass the standard Dielectric Mirror is most commonly used when designing Mirror TVs as
reflection properties are slightly minimized giving you the ideal TV viewing experience. Reflects 29% of light and allows 69% of
light transmission when the display behind it is switched on, making it the optimal solution for when the TV or display function is a
key aspect of the design
HRG (high reflective glass) HRG mirrored glass is predominantly used where the requirement is focused more on the Mirror aspect
rather than the concealing of the TV when switched off. Reflects more than 57% of light and allows 41% light transmission, making
it ideal for applications when it is mostly used as a mirror
Silver Mirror boasts a 85-90% Mirror rate. Silver Mirror is used solely for the Mirror and the TV as a secondary add on, ideal for
salons who require the Mirror plus have the added feature of advertising products and services through the TV.
