The estimated loading of an indicator on a cons truct; the loading is also refered
to as a scaling parameter, the indicator ’s reliability, and a validity coefficient.
The (residual) variance of a construct or the ( residual) covariance between two
constructs, when defined as endogenous cons tructs.
The variance of a construct or the covariance be tween two constructs, when
defined as exogenous constructs.
The residual variance of an indicator or the res idual covariance between two
indicators.
An estimated regression of one construct onto a nother (endogenous on
endogenous).
The intercept (i.e., mean) of an indicator when t he regression line of the
indicator on the construct is zero.
The mean of the latent construct as defined by the scaling constraint to identify
the means structure (endogenous constructs).
Also an estimated regression of one construct ont o another. Here, endogenous
variables are predicted by exogenous variables .
The mean of the latent construct as defined by the scaling constraint to identify
the means structure (exogenous constructs).
Σ is the model implied variance-covariance matrix; σ is the standard deviation
of an indicator; and σ2 is the variance. σ can also be a covariance.
An endogenous construct is called an ‘eta’.
Ksi
ξ
An exogenous construct is called a ‘ksi’.
Chi
χ
χ2 is an index of model mis-fit that follows a typical χ2 distribution.
Delta
Δ
Used to denote the change between any two nested estimates as in Δχ2 or ΔCFI
