• Complete the questionnaire by ticking the

your answers.
• Everyone now has a set of personality scores.
But how can we make sense of our individual
scores?
Summarising data from a group
• Central tendency – tells you what a ‘typical’
person is like.
• Dispersion – tells you how different the rest of
the people are from the CT.

How do you compare?
• Is your score above or below the mean?
• Are you unusually high or low?
Conduct & write up a case study…
• You need to…
– Find out about a friend’s interests, likes and
dislikes. Assess their personality scores on the ‘big
five’ traits.
– Report their scores and how these compare to our
group’s data. Discuss how well their
interests/likes/dislikes correspond to their BFI
scores.
• What ethical obligations do we have? How
shall we meet them?
