Location
The Town is situated about 85 km north-east
of Prague on the edge of Bohemian Paradise
protected area.
History
The town was founded probably in the end of
the 12th century.
The first written record comes from a
document by Queen Guta of Habsburg and
dates back to August 1, 1293.
(The town of Guta is in Czech called Jitšino
město)
Albrecht of Wallenstein
The most famous period of
Jičín was between 1620 –
1634.
At that time Jičín became a
residence of Duke Albrecht
of Wallenstein.
The duchy was a state
within a state.

hall and reconstruction of the historic bulding
2002 – 80-years-school anniversary celebration,

2002 – started a new specialization, i.e. Informatics
