Location
The Town is situated about 85 km north-east
of Prague on the edge of Bohemian Paradise
protected area.
History
 The town was founded probably in the end of
the 12th century.
 The first written record comes from a
document by Queen Guta of Habsburg and
dates back to August 1, 1293.
 (The town of Guta is in Czech called Jitšino
město)
Albrecht of Wallenstein
The most famous period of
Jičín was between 1620 –
1634.
At that time Jičín became a
residence of Duke Albrecht
of Wallenstein.
The duchy was a state
within a state.

hall and reconstruction of the historic bulding
 2002 – 80-years-school anniversary celebration,
unveiled the memorial plaque to Ing. Arch Č. Musil
 2002 – started a new specialization, i.e. Informatics
