How to become and Play Therapist
must hold an active license in a mental health field such as

150 hours of play therapy instruction or APT Approved Provider

500 hours of working as a play therapist under the supervision of
a RPT-S
50 hours of direct supervision in play therapy
State approved supervisors need to have additional training in
supervision
