vTRIP TO
ITALIA
Angelee Tango
Introduction
Hello! My name is Angelee Tango and I
would like to take you on a trip to one of
my favorite places on this earth, Italy!
Italy is a great place with many different
geological realms to it! So sit back relax
and watch as I travel through Italy!
Hope you enjoy!
First Stop Venice!
• Notice the concert rocks that make up the roads of
Venice!
• There are barely any cars that travel on these roads,
how do you think the Carbon Dioxide emissions are
affected by this?
• That’s right! Italy would have a lot less Carbon
Dioxide emissions emitted throughout the city than
New York would!
The Alps!
• Italy is placed on the Adriatic Plate thus creating
theses amazing mountains!
• This picture was taken on the road in southern Italy.
• Therefore the rocks that are formed from these
mountains are mostly limestone.
Pompeii!
• Here we find the famous Mount Vesuvius!
• Mount Vesuvius is above a subduction zone.
• Mount Vesuvius erupted during ancient Italy leaving
behind rocks that are basaltic.
Assisi!
• Look at the beautiful plain of Assisi!
• Assisi is located in the center of Italy.
• It can be affected by both the pull apart and push
together forces of the Arabian Plate and the
Eurasian plate as well as the African Plate.
Florence!
• How gorgeous is that?
• That is the Arno River which flows throughout
Florence.
• The Arno River Basin Authority are in charge of
monitoring this river to ensure it not exploited and
safe to live near.
Conclusion
How did you like it? I hope now you want to go travel
to Italy yourself! As you can see there are many
different geological aspects to Italy! Hope you
enjoyed!
