Lawnmower Safety

Introduction
Your
Mower is only as safe as the operator!
Carelessness
in operation can result in injury
or even death!
Before you mow…
Learn
your ISO symbols
Read owners manual and become familiar
with the machine before you start
Make sure all children, adults, and pets are far
away from area your mowing
Remove all debris in area to be mowed
before you start
And remember…
No
alcohol or Drugs!
Don’t wear loose fitting cloths that could get
caught in belts!
Hearing protection is a great idea…you only
get one set of ears
When your Mowing
Know
all the controls and how to stop the
machine quickly
Slow for slopes and sharp turns…If your not
sure, use a push mower!!!
Be conscious of your discharge chute; don’t
blow grass or debris at windows, cars, people,
etc.
Be
alert for holes, rocks, and other surprises
that can be hit. Watch for hanging limbs,
cloths lines, etc that can hit you!
If you do hit something, turn the machine
off and inspect belts, blades, and other parts
that could have been damaged
Other things to remember
Always
shut er’ down before you touch
anything that moves
Keep your mower maintained and leave all
safety shields in place.
