He
presented his work at the Tokyo
society for mathematics and
physics in 1903.
He also announced it in the British
academia journal “Philosophical
Magazine.”

He
sparked an interest in atomic
physics after he heard Marie Curie
give a lecture on radioactivity in
1900.

ELECTRONS OUTSIDE AN ATOM
Nagaoka
was one of the first to propose
the idea that negatively-charged
electrons are located on the outside of
the atom.
Also
one of the first to propose protons in
the nucleus.

RENOUNCING HIS MODEL
He
abandoned the Saturnian Model in
1908 after there wasn't enough
experimental proof to support the model
and disprove speculation.
