Goals are important
While Kenya has not achieved all MDGs by a long shot,
efforts have been made across the board to try to.
Multiplicity of the SDGs (17) and corresponding Targets
(169) will present a challenge. Could be discouraging.

regional human rights instruments, in fulfillment of
mandate has participated in the formulation of
country reports and alternative reports
Has adopted consultative and multi sector approach

Follow up on recommendations at national level
SDGs lend themselves to a human rights analysis so
can be integrated in UPR review and other
instruments eg ICESCR, ICCPR, CAT, UNCRPD, UNCRC
etc.

Accountability
Key mandate of the commission include promoting redress
for human right violations,(receiving complaints,
undertaking investigations, complying reports and making
recommendations)

Public National Inquiry on Sexual and Reproductive Health
Report on living large(focusing on public expenditure)
The Error of fighting Terror with Terror : ensuring
adherence to rule of law and access to justice even in the
face of challenges such as terrorism.
