The Samson
Strong MPRS
The Multifunctional Pneumatic
Rehabilitation System
Samson Strong MPRS Inc.
General Description
•
The Multifunctional Pneumatic
Rehabilitation System (The MPRS) is a
pneumatic non mechanical fully
adjustable orthopedic medical care
system which is portable compact and
simple to operate
•
The MPRS gently moves patients into
a variety of postures that both alleviate
and prevent many of the medical
problems caused by their being bed
bound and immobile for long periods
of time
•
In addition to its preventative and
therapeutic effects the system enables
a comfortable stay for immobile
patients in hospital and at home and
facilitates the carrying out of medical
procedures necessary for their care

Key MPRS Functions
• Moves the patient from a lying to a sitting position and vice
versa and turns the trunk of the body from left to right
• Bends and raises a patient's legs and moves them left and right
• Lifts and turns patients at the waist and lumbar spine area

and then moved to the right and
to the left shown

Key MPRS Functions
• Bends the spine and legs in different directions/trajectories
• Rolls the patient from one side to the other
• Provides a massaging effect
• Can have its its firmness adjusted

the left and the right shown

Key Advantages of the MPRS
• Allows for early mobilization of patients even if they are not
concious preventing the development of pressure sores and
hypostatic pneumonia

the right leg and left leg
separately shown

Key Advantages of the MPRS
• Pressure management on the body improves respiratory
function and both blood and lymph circulation
• Reduced incidence of pressure sores through greater
frequency of postural adjustment
• Facilitates the normalization of muscle and ligament
movement in the spine and legs whilst preventing muscle
atrophy and promoting muscle recovery
Legs lifted up and bent at the knees
turned to the left and to the
right shown

Key Advantages of the MPRS
• The MPRS moves the patient pneumatically in a smooth
and supportive manner that greatly lowers the shear effect
between the patient’s body and the bed surface - a major
source of pressure ulcers
• Elements of the system provide mobility to upper and lower
limbs which is necessary for the prevention of paresis,
contractures and joint stiffness
Both legs lifted up together then
both legs lifted up and moved to
the right shown

Key Advantages of the MPRS
• Pressure management on the body improves respiratory
function and both blood and lymph circulation
• Joint flexibility maintained and muscle shortening and
atrophy avoided by a range of passive motion excercises
(programmed or by manual or voice command)
Legs and spine lifted
simultaneously then spine and
legs turned in different directions

Key Advantages of the MPRS
• Fabricated from medical grade material
• Built in safety features include return to flat position in case
of system malfunction
• The system is modular meaning its size can be adjusted and
modules are easy to remove for repair and maintenance

Key Advantages of the MPRS
• The MPRS is easily cleaned either manually or in an ozone
cleaning chamber
• Can be used outside and in remote locations from any 12
volt power supply
