Nearly 1.1 billion people worldwide lack
access to improved water
Nearly 2.4 billion do not have access to
improved water
WHO estimates that 2 million people die
every year from diarrheal disease
UN estimates that water related diarrheal
diseases result in 450 million days of school
and 5% of GDP loss in developing countries
Due to lack of finances, sustainability, water
treatment, hygiene and sanitation practices,
and education
