In Denmark you start in school when you are 5-7 years old. You
start in 0. grade, which is a kind of preschool. The preschool is
optional, but most choose to start there. Most public schools in
Denmark are meant to have 0. – 9. grade in the same school.
Subjects from 0. – 9. grade in a public elementary
school:
0. Danish, math and PE.
1. Art and music
2. Nature and techniques
3. English
4. Religion, Needlework and history
5. Housecraft

7. Physics, biology, geography and the choice of
French, German or nothing.
8. Social studies, and we get characters
