Diagnosis: Calcaneal Osteomyelitis w/US guided aspiration.
History: None
Findings: Patient with heel pain (calcaneus). The margin of the calcaneus
appears as a bright (echogenic) line. An erosion (white arrow) is present
filled with abnormal soft tissue which originates in the subcutaneous fat
(green arrows).
Treatment: Surgery w/antibiotics.

Diagnosis: Calcaneal Osteomyelitis w/US guided aspiration.
History: None
Findings: Patient with heel pain (calcaneus). The inflammatory nature of the
erosion becomes more apparent when power Doppler imaging is used.
Treatment: Surgery w/antibiotics.

History: None
Findings: Patient with heel pain (calcaneus). The soft tissue was biopsied at
the time of ultrasound examination and shown to be infectious. The needle
(n) is shown within the abnormal soft tissue.
Treatment: Surgery w/antibiotics.
