Math Journals: Students use a math journal to take
notes during math. This math journal is a spiral note
book that contains all mathematical terminology and
example problems that are done in class. At the top
of each page of the journal is the math topic and page
number we use in the math textbook. Please make
sure to have your child use the math journal and also
refer to the math textbook when studying math
concepts.
Monday Envelopes: Every Monday your child will
bring home a yellow envelop that contains tests and
work samples your child did the previous week.
There will be a comment sheet for parents to write
positive and improvement comments about their
child’s work. All contents in the envelop must
come back to school the next day. All of the work
in this envelop will be used to build your child’s
portfolio for third grade. Therefore, it is very
important that all work in the yellow envelop
returns back to school the next day.
