Strategies to Fight Procrastination
Use “WASPS”
W – Weigh benefits of completing the task vs.
procrastinating to you and to others.
(If it is helpful, make a list of how you will feel as a result.)
A – Analyze the task and break it apart into periods of time
that are doable for you.
(If you need to, plan for 15-30 min. segments.)
S – Set reasonable goals with deadlines.
(You may want to write out an intention statement with a reward upon
completion.)
P – Plan ahead; implement your tasks and goals into your
daily/weekly schedule.
(Schedule for unanticipated events and some play time.)
S – Start NOW and learn to Say NO!
