VOCABULARY
Variable:
a letter that represents an unknown value
i.e. If 5 = 4x, then x is variable
Operation:
an action or procedure which produces a new value from one or more input
values
i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
Constant:
a non-varying value; does not change
i.e. If 5 = 4x, then 5 and 4 is constant. 5 will always equal 5
Coefficient:
A number multiplied by a variable
i.e.
