To solving an inequality by addition
or subtraction you solve it the
same way you would if it had an
equal sign instead of an inequality
sign.

When solving an inequality by multiplication or
division there is only one thing you have to
remember.
Whenever you multiply or divide by a negative
number you must switch the direction of your
inequality.

Objectives – To solve multi-step inequalities.

When solving multi-step inequalities you
solve them the same way as multi-step
equations but you have to remember
whenever you multiply or divide by a
negative number you must switch the
direction of your inequality.

Objectives – To write sets and identify subsets.
To find the complement of a set.

Roster Form is one way to write sets. Roster
form lists the elements of a set within braces.
Ex. {2, 4, 6, 8,….}
Set-Builder Notaion is another way to write
sets. It Describes the properties an element
must have to included is a set. To describe the
above example in set-builder notation is
Ex. {x | x is a multiple of 2}
