Study smarter

Homework = studying
• Teach a new concept
• Reinforce learning with homework
• Never, ever do this: “Hi Honey, do you
have any homework?”

Studying is learning/memorization
• Once the concept is mastered
• Requires repetition over time
Studying should be at least one hour per
day 7 days per week
In college, it is recommended 1 to 3
hours for each hour in class; 15 units =
15 hours in class

SQ3R/Muscle Reading…do before
lecture if possible

• Recite
• Review
