MDM Implementation Details
[for S* Card Next Generation System]

1. MDM Use Cases
1.
2.
3.
4.
MDM system manages multiple data domains.
Each domain consists of 1 or more base objects.
Each domain also has different source systems; some of them have multiple source systems.
Three ways to create master data; each data domain has its fixed source interface(s)
• Online Sync Interfaces – Real-time interface with the source systems
• Batch File Interfaces – Daily processing of the incoming file data
• IDD User Interfaces – IDD controls the master data Life Cycle Management with enterprise workflow system
5. Two ways to publish master data; each data domain can be configured to publish data to the requesting
target systems
• Online Sync Interfaces – Real-time interface to the target systems
• Batch File Interfaces – Daily processing of the outgoing file data

2. MDM Deployment Architecture
MDM – 6 Jboss instances on each node ; 2 for interfaces, 2 for hub instances, 2 for cleanse instances
1 hub instance(H101) for processing SIF interfaces, the other (O101) for IDD connection only.
PWC – 2 Integration services on one Powercenter domain.

※ JMS Queue is not used to publish data any more: Queue message format is corrupted often. Only c_repos_mq_data_change table is used to publish.

3. Data Flow – Online Interfaces
A. Service domain (W) and Hub domain (H) instances are working.
B. Inbound interfaces are synchronous and outbound interfaces are all asynchronous.

3. Data Flow – File Interfaces
A. Powercenter is loading files into landing table and Hub instances are working batch jobs.
B. Enterprise Batch Job Controller initiates the PWC job and MDM batch job.

3. Data Flow – User Interfaces with IDD
A. MDM User creates and modifies the data through IDD with the enterprise workflow added.
B. MDM Users are controlled by the enterprise SSO(Authorization), IM(Identity), and AM(Authorization)
systematically linked to MDM SAM.
