Foreword – The Latest Aggregate Report
Outdated Aggregate Report (9/18)
Latest Aggregate Report (10/18)
Certain sites were initially excluded
in the 2013/2014 aggregate report
due to response rates.
Consistent with previous cycles,
some sites were added in, since
their somewhat lower response
rates are statistically valid

The Calculations
2007/2008
2013/2014
Approach:
Replicate the approved methodology used for previous cycles
4
The Calculations - Continued
A Brief Overview:
Compare baseline (2007/2008) results to current 2013/2014 results
(at the jurisdiction level)
Drive Alone Rate
Total Weekly Trips
Total Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) per Employee per Trip
Convert the weekly survey results into annual numbers
Add up and report the reductions in:
Trips
VMT
Use a conversion factor to convert VMT into a Greenhouse Gas
(GHG) reduction

Between 2012 and 2014, the Board requested
pilot projects, to test techniques outside of the
survey. As a result, the number of surveys
distributed decreased from ‘12 to ’14.

Note in the baseline ‘07/’08 the return rate was 70.6%
There was a drop in response rate in ‘09/’10, and
‘11/’12, with the ‘12 rate being 58.0%.
However, in ‘13/’14, the response rate increased to 66.1%

Non-Drive Alone Rate
In the baseline year, the non-drive alone rate
was 34.3%
In subsequent years, the rate has been roughly 37%
100%
So, despite an increase in the number of employees
affected by the program, the mode split for CTR sites
has been able to maintain itself around 37%

Daily Greenhouse Gas per Employee (Pounds)
Vehicle Miles Traveled Per Employee Per Trip
Vehicle Miles Traveled and Greenhouse Gases
Daily GHG per Employee (pounds)
While the above numbers may not look impressive on the surface, the bigger story is that even with
a growing economy and adding more and more employees, the vehicle miles traveled per person
has improved, decreasing by about 3% from the baseline.
