1 km = 1000 meters

Using the "T" Method
How many cups are in 3 gallons?
First draw a straight line and put the given information from the problem on
the left hand side.
Second, use the reference page to find equivalencies that will get you to
your goal unit.
Third, make sure like units are opposite each other in the "t" chart so they
cancel each other out.

Finally, multiply the numbers on top together and divide the answer by
the product of the numbers on the bottom.
